One person died in an early morning house fire in the Town of Superior.  The fire was reported at 1:26am at 6330s Darrow Rd. Deputies arrived on scene within ten minutes to find the lower floor of the two-story structure fully involved.

Several family members were in the house at the time of the fire and were able to escape. Deputies were told one person was still in the house, last seen in the basement trying to put the fire out.  The fire spread rapidly to the entire structure, which collapsed in about 15 minutes.

Crews remained on scene until mid-afternoon Thursday and recovered the body of the victim, identified as Zebulun Downey, 28, a resident of the house.
