Stolen Church Bus Recovered - Suspect At Large

At about 10:30pm Friday night 5-29-2015, deputies responded to the Four Corners area in the town of Superior on a reported sighting of a stolen church bus.


The caller stated he got home and the bus was parked in his driveway. An individual known to the caller as Tyler Mains was with the bus and asked him if he could store it there. The caller told Mains he knew it was stolen because he saw it on the news. Mains left with the bus when the caller told him he was calling the police.


A short time later, deputies located the bus the Rancon Rd in the town of Summit. Nobody was with the bus. Personal effects, including a wallet belonging to Tyler Mains, were found on the bus. Deputies checked nearby residences but were unable to locate Mains. He remains at large.


The owner of the bus was contacted and responded to retake possession.


Tyler Mains is wanted on Bench Warrant for Fail to Appear- OAR, as well as charges related to this incident.
