A 31 year old Superior man died on Sunday September 1st when the vehicle he was driving left the roadway and overturned.

The accident was reported to Douglas County 911 at 10:18am when a nearby resident heard the crash.  The crash occurred on CTH B near Otto Rd in the town of Oakland.

The driver has been identified at Derek T. Rasmussen.  He was westbound on CTH B when he lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway, striking a ditch, embankment, and driveway, overturning multiple times.

The crash remains under investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff's and Medical Examiner's offices.
