Hunters Welcome Snow, Motorists Don't

While the first snowfall of the season may have been a welcome sight for the deer hunters on opening weekend, it was not as well received by motorists.
Starting at about 11:00 am on Friday, and through midnight on Sunday, Douglas County Sheriff's Deputies responded to 33 reported cars in the ditch, 9 crashes involving property damage, and 3 crashes involving personal injury.
Other than a couple of calls of trespassers, no hunting related incidents were reported to the Sheriff's office over the weekend.
