One Dead in Brule ATV Crash

One person is dead following a weekend ATV crash in Brule. The victim is identified as Wendy Davis, 40, of Brainerd, MN.
The crash was reported at 7:17pm Friday evening Oct 13. Initial investigation reveals Davis had been operating an ATV east on Old Hwy 2 in Brule, failed to negotiate a curve and left the road, striking a utility pole. She was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a helmet.
The incident remains under investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office and the WI DNR.
