A Poplar man is dead following a single vehicle crash in the town of Hawthorne on Friday evening 9/28/2018 at about 8:24pm.
Pepper Craft, 45, was the driver and sole occupant of a 1996 Chevrolet Caprice that was southbound on CTH P near Olson Lane when it left the roadway at high speed and struck trees. Craft was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
The incident remains under investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office and the Douglas County Medical Examiner's Office.
