Youth Dies in Snowmobile Crash

One person is dead as a result of injuries sustained in a snowmobile crash Saturday morning.
The crash was reported to Douglas County 911 at 11:25am on Trail #4, north of Trail #6 in Hawthorne township.
The victim is identified as Joshua Pampuch, 17, of Chippewa Falls.
He had been riding with a group north on Trail #4 when the snowmobile he was operating left the trail and struck trees.
The incident remains under investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office and the WI DNR.
